A third-generation San Franciscan, Ms. Deb Meiswinkel now calls Sonoma County home. Her early administrative career was spent in the City’s Financial District supporting a high-profile bank executive in Commercial Real Estate and Treasury Management for almost a decade before migrating into the food and beverage/hospitality industry to become an Office/Business Manager. While at Bank of America, Ms. Meiswinkel also worked in Marketing while supporting her executive and at one time was asked to lead the division’s regional United Way Day of Caring campaign, involving 14 project sites located from Sacramento to Bakersfield – the first Senior Administrative Assistant ever to hold such a position. In addition to day-to-day operations, Ms. Meiswinkel was involved with her executive’s Task Force committees creating the Diversity and Inclusion initiative and Client Focus programs that were implemented companywide and still in practice. During her career at the bank, Ms. Meiswinkel became a volunteer officer for the employee-run Diversity Network and TeamAmerica SF Chapters for several years; both of which embodies and executes the core values of the organization that has become her underlying personal fundamental guiding principles for life.

Shortly after leaving corporate America, Ms. Meiswinkel spent the next 13 years supporting a family owned and operated enterprise comprised of a production bakery, caffè/wine bars, and full-service restaurant that specializes in Italian artisan foods created by a locally well-known and respected Master Pastry Chef. Ms. Meiswinkel mentored store and caffè managers in addition to overseeing the organization’s accounting and finance of 6 corporate entities, marketing, online sales and shipping, property management, IT/website administration, agency audits, human resources, payroll for 130 employees, special purchases, POS programming, menu and signage design, and even her fair share of dishes and deliveries. She developed the company’s handbooks and training manuals as well as created the organization’s forms for store operations and HR processing in addition to compiling business proposals and acting as a liaison with the food writers. Compliance and exceptional Customer Service was and still are at Ms. Meiswinkel’s forefront in her day-to-day operations.

Today, Ms. Meiswinkel supports the Santa Rosa team as a Project Manager Assistant specializing in Client services and project accounting administration after spending over a year as the team’s Senior Administrative Assistant. Ms. Meiswinkel applies her decades’ experience in Client service and senior administrative assistance to LACO, giving each team member and Client the greatest of attention. Ms. Meiswinkel has been instrumental in the growth of the Santa Rosa office and the teams’ achievements that lead her to receive award nominations from co-workers for 2017’s Team Member, People’s Choice, and Exceptional Client Services. Ms. Meiswinkel’s passion for excellence has led her to develop strong skills in finalizing technical memos and project coordination. 

In her free time, Ms. Meiswinkel is an active certified Sonoma County Master Gardener volunteer and project leader providing assistance to county residents at events and periodically from behind the Help Desk at the local University of California Cooperative Extension office, which is close to the LACO office. Prior to this for 10 years, Ms. Meiswinkel would have been found every month as a Leader in San Francisco Renew the Zoo program, working closely with the Horticulture Department, Zoo personnel, and hundreds of volunteers. Her passion for volunteering is serving as a positive influence with her team.
