As Marketing Manager, Dan Pambianco contributes experience and comprehensive knowledge of strategic marketing to the LACO team.
For 22 years, Mr. Pambianco served as Humboldt State University Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations. That role included a wide range of responsibilities, including marketing campaign development, creative writing, publication design, photography, crisis management, and event organization. He also served as the “Voice of the Lumberjacks” for 19 years, broadcasting on the radio and live streaming all Humboldt State men’s and women’s basketball road games, along with selected softball and football contests.
In 1995, Mr. Pambianco designed and launched one of the first college athletics websites in the nation. That site, HSUjacks.com, was Humboldt State’s first online presence.
He also worked as communications specialist (editor/writer) in the Department of Marketing and Communications at Humboldt State University, leading a team of writers creating content for social media, the internal newsletter, the university website and Humboldt Magazine. He simultaneously served as a lecturer in the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, teaching introductory and advanced public relations.
Dan served as media director/consultant for the United States Olympic Track & Field Trials in 2000 and 2004, and was photography coordinator for the USATF Championships in 2014 and 2017.
Mr. Pambianco also served three years as Senior Grant Specialist at St. Joseph Health, Humboldt County.
Lifelong learning is a passion for Dan, who first picked up a guitar five years ago and “plays” the instrument for stress relief. He is also a photographer who enjoys shooting landscapes, wildlife, and sports.
Mr. Pambianco lives in McKinleyville with his wife, Terry, a special education teacher, and Italian Greyhounds Chip and Cody. The couple’s son, Jacob, lives and works in Eureka, and their daughter, Mia, is a student at Humboldt State University.
