Ms. Cameron Purchio works as part of the LACO team as a Staff Planner in the Eureka office. Having worked previously with the Army Corps of Engineers as a Park Ranger at Lake Mendocino and later as a Regulatory Project Manager out of the Eureka Field Office, she managed regulatory permits and enforcement of violations as a lead federal agency in accordance with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act for Humboldt, Del Norte, Trinity, Siskiyou, and Mendocino Counties. She has project management experience with complex projects related to the discharge of fill into waters, wetland delineation, consulting with resource agencies, public outreach, coordinating with various resource agencies and tribal governments, the State 401 process, emergency permitting, and preparing environmental documents.
Ms. Purchio also worked as adjunct faculty for Humboldt State University for the Environmental Resources Engineering Department and is both an experienced speaker and instructor. Her experience culminates in the demonstration of strong leadership skills and an aptitude for effectively navigating complex and high-stress situations.
